“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you.” Proverbs 4:7-9
Often, we go through life with the mindset we must reach a goal or a place. We say the words “When I get such and such, I’ll be…” whatever that state of being or achieving that act of getting allows us to become. Much of our time and energy is spent in the toiling act of “get” that we never gain experience and live in wisdom. In universal understanding, wisdom is the principal revered achievement.
Margarita Wisdom was born from my humble, unashamed wealth of experiences. The lessons I lived and learned. Initially I wanted to share this collection of wisdom with my daughters when I felt the time was right. Often, over drinks with friends I freely shared snippets of my wisdom as we laughed and talked about the happenings of the day, or what was going on in our lives.
Margarita Wisdom is not about living in hindsight. Rather, it developed from a place of asking myself :
“What did I get from this?”
“Did this help me understand myself or others better?”
“Is this telling me I can do better?”
“What from this experience would I share with my daughters or a friend?”
“Did I gain any wisdom today or from this experience that I can build on to go to the next step in life?”
With these questions in mind, I created the Margarita Wisdom Planner, Cards and Perpetual Calendar for daily use to make note of the wisdom I gained, share wisdom and encourage others.
My prayer is reading the wisdom I share and, use of these daily practical tools you too will be inspired and encouraged to get wisdom and grow in wisdom. Trust me when you do, she will reward you with the ultimate in understanding to honor yourself.
In Wisdom & Love,
Margarita Sweet
